One of the nine English school boards in the province of Quebec, the Lester B. Pearson School Board is also one of the biggest school boards on the island of Montréal. Its main office is in Dorval, Québec. The LBPSB, which was founded in 1998, is in charge of the English public schools in the “mainland” territories that extend west to the Ontario boundary, from Verdun through the West Island and Ile Perrot.

It holds Lester B. Pearson’s name, the 14th Prime Minister of Canada. The only school board in Canada with a formal student advisory committee to its Council is the Lester B. Pearson School Board. The organization, also known as the “Central Students’ Committee” (CSC for short), creates formal statements to the consultations that the Council of Commissioners suggests.

1. Educational Guidance

The youth division of the Lester B. Pearson School Board provides all pupils with proper guidance of the highest calibre. Students who are taught using a student-centred method are encouraged to pursue their interests, discover new talents, and take on new challenges.

Beginning with primary education, students are introduced to marking educational technology and engaging experiences in the arts and sports, all while receiving support from the most devoted teachers, administrators, and staff throughout the curriculum. Students are further encouraged to develop their abilities in secondary schools as they get geared up for college, career training, and community service.

International students from all over the world can enroll in youth, adult, and vocational education classes through the Lester B. Pearson School Board. Thirty-four primary schools, ten secondary schools, Three adult education centers, Six centers for vocational (career) training, and Two international department sites all host international students. The 5-year graduation percentage for the Lester B. Pearson School Board is 16% higher than the average for provincial public schools. This is the outcome of a teaching theory that is student-centred, grounded in creative teaching and learning, and modified for the classroom of the twenty-first century. Three fundamental values—Achievement, Wellness, and Engagement direct dedication to the academic success of all students.

West Island Vocational Center is the Lester B. Pearson School Board. The West Island Career Centre (WICC) is dedicated to providing a professional, loving, and secure learning atmosphere for all students. The Center offers learning chances for students in the fields of business, health, and auto mechanics. WICC constantly aims for excellence in skills-based training, whether in fully equipped auto repair shops, during remote learning in online theory classes, which are offered in all our programs, or in our cutting-edge health labs.

This institution is a well-known educational facility in Dorval. There may have been 30000 graduates from the Lester B Pearson School Board in Québec. Lester B Pearson School Board currently has 13450 total students, of which 12000 are enrolled in full-time classes and 1450 are enrolled in part-time courses. There are presently 5400 international students enrolled in Lester B Pearson School Board. There are 187 teaching colleges overall and 54 non-teaching faculties in the Lester B. Pearson School Board.

3. Admission Requirements

3.1 International Pupils Are Taken Into Account on An Individual Basis. Depending on The School You’re Applying To, There May Be Some Extra Requirements. Requirements Are

  • The original transcripts from the last academic school the student attended must be submitted. Send the transcribed versions of them along with the originals if they aren’t in English.
  • Should exhibit the certificate from the International Qualifications Assessment Service (IQAS), which assesses international academic credentials against Canadian academic norms.
  • A minimum age of 18 is required for applicants at the start of the training. If you are coming from a non-English speaking nation, you must send the results of your English language proficiency test.
  • Please take note that you must acquire a valid study permit before travelling to Canada if you are not a citizen or a permanent resident of Canada.

4.1 The Following Campus Amenities Are Available to International Pupils Enrolled in Classes at The Lester B. Pearson School Board without Restriction

  • Information about Lester B Pearson School Board’s student housing: Lester B Pearson School Board offers student living, on-campus lodging, and hostels with a variety of amenities like Wi-Fi, and dining. Time: 8 am. to 7 pm., from Monday to Friday.
  • Bookstore Facilities: The Lester B. Pearson School Board has a top-notch bookshop with a large selection of educational tools for students. The school bookstore for the Lester B. Pearson School Board is open from Monday through Friday from 10 am. to 5 pm.
  • Parking: There is parking on all campuses.
  • Meal costs: The average student enrolled in an academic institution spends CAD 287 per month on food.
  • Lester B Pearson School Board has an upper-edge gym and fitness amenities for athletics and wellness. Lester B. Pearson School Board’s athletics and wellness center is open from Monday through Friday from 8 am to 6 pm
  • Lockers: Students at this institution of higher learning have access to secure lockers.
  • Clubs: There are numerous music clubs, cultural clubs, sports clubs, and clubs for international students at this institution, including, Clubs for table tennis, water polo, taekwondo, surfing, and badminton.

5. Dormitory

Lester B. Pearson School Board International Language Centre houses dormitory housing. Private rooms are given for students, who are also under the supervision of resident program supervisors. Meal preparation, laundry help, activity planning, and student supervision fall under the purview of supervisors.

One single bed, a dresser, a nightstand (small dresser), a desk chair, a lamp, wireless internet access, and a waste paper receptacle are all provided in each chamber.

The standard room, includes two couches, a table, chairs, a TV, and individual lockers for each student. The students are in a safe, secure atmosphere thanks to the round-the-clock security.

6. Scholarship

The scholarship program aims to honour students who exhibit exceptional creativity and scholastic success and who are regarded as leaders in their schools.

These scholarships, which are given yearly, honour deserving students from all over the world, including foreigners attending Canadian high schools. The most prestigious and competitive scholarship available to foreign students at U of T is this one.

For four years, complete housing support, tuition, books, and incidentals, are all included in the Lester B. Pearson International Scholarships. The scholarship is only valid for first-year undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto.
