Australia’s Phillip Island is world-famous. “Penguin Parade” is a well-liked tourist destination and is well-known for its natural habitat and sizable colony of fairy penguins.

These tiny little penguins, which belong to the world’s smallest species, spend their days in the Southern Ocean.

Scavenging for food while avoiding predators, and at dusk, they return to their nests in the Phillip Island Summerlands sand dunes.

The main draw at the car park is the evening return of the penguins when tens of thousands of them waddle to their burrows in large groups while appearing unaffected by people.

It’s a magical sight to behold and one of the main attractions on Phillip Island.

Every night of the year, the penguin parade at Phillip Island is held, but spring is the best time to go because that is when the penguins are taking care of their adorable, recently hatched chicks.

You can stroll towards Cowes main beach after having your brunch for a soothing experience.

The Nobbies is located just beyond the Penguin Parade and is a collection of jagged basalt rock formations.

During our visit, we were fortunate to experience a sunny day in early winter with a calm breeze and warm sunshine.

The Woodland boardwalk leading from the Nobbies Centre provided unobstructed views of Flinders, Cape Woolamai, and Pyramid Rock.

It is possible to catch a glimpse of the local wildlife, including penguins, seals frolicking on the rocks and waves, and kangaroos bounding through the nearby tall grasses.
